Below you will find important contacts for local, state, and national agencies and organizations you’ll likely need to connect with, whether you are new or experienced!
First, we’ll start with Agricultural Marketing Professionals (otherwise known as AMPs). Haven’t heard of them before? Well I’m glad you’re here!
Agriculture Marketing and Economic Development professionals help farms and producers in all areas of agriculture to achieve their business potential and increase opportunities for enhanced profitability. They are typically located within your local Economic Development office, although not every county in Maryland has one yet.
AMPs are a fantastic resource that can work with you whether you’re just getting started, interested in diversifying, or seeking assistance with any number of farm-related issues. They often are well-connected with the local community and knowledgeable of important information and changes within the county.
