Loblolly Organic Farm in Waldorf (Charles County)
We are an organic FLOWER farm located in Maryland, 10 minutes from Waldorf and La Plata. Only 50 minutes from Washington D.C.! We grow on two acres of land biointensively, with a small scale tractor (BCS) and hand tools. Again, we only sell FLOWERS to local farmers markets and florists, but we also grow a vegetable garden which will be FREE to pick from.
We design bouquets for market and WEDDING flowers. We attend farmers markets on Sundays and design weddings most Saturdays. We take Mondays off and ask anyone who comes to work with us work on the weekend. We have a 400ft. park mobile trailer which has a full kitchen, full bathroom (shower), AC/Heat, TV, water/electric and full bed. It is very nice and we only ask that it stay nice when it is being used. It is located right on the farm, your commute will only be 1 minute! We ask that you bring your own vehicle. We can accept some pets.
We are looking for 2 people that can start first week of May 2020, and during that first month you will be paid $100/wk. This will be considered an INTERVIEW for full time EMPLOYMENT on the farm. We are looking to HIRE STAFF FULL TIME, and you should only apply if you are interested in an excellent on farm employment opportunity, paying $30,000/yr or $600/wk. You will be paid during the winter months of November-February, the same $600 salary, but NOT asked to work. That’s 4 months of the year OFF while still getting paid.
Lastly, this is a growth position, meaning if it is a good fit we will be looking to transition employees to management, paying $60,000+/yr.
