Maryland Organic Food & Farming Association Winter Meeting
February 22 @ 12:00 am
Learn, Explore, Connect, Grow!
Gain practical knowledge from organic farmers and researchers. Explore current issues. Join in lively discussions. Meet fellow farmers, gardeners, food system advocates, and consumers. Enjoy a delicious homegrown potluck lunch.
This year’s event features practical ‘how-to’ workshops presented by farmers: growing flowers, raising woodland pork, composting; the latest science and research on pollinators, noxious weeds, enhancing biological control, and salmonella colonization; and dynamic panels and discussions about climate impact and the emerging black farmer movement; and more. Margaret Morgan-Hubbard, founder and director of ECO City Farms, will address issues of equity and access in her keynote: Making Maryland the Affordable ‘Healthy Food for All’ State.
And there will be a Silent Auction, Half Priced New Book Sale, and vendor Display Tables. Admission is still only $5 for members and $20 for non-members! Registration at the door or online.
