Local winery is seeking a Marketing and Sales Manager to develop, enact, and manage the winery’s marketing and sales strategies and operational plans. The Marketing and Sales Manager is responsible for the daily execution of marketing and sales efforts and communications, including but not limited to: marketing and advertizing campaigns; development of marketing materials; wholesale projections and sales target development; wholesale sales and customer relations; tasting room, festivals and online marketing and sales; enacting plans to achieve sales targets; and assisting the owners in identifying opportunities to achieve increased sales efficiencies and improvements, and developing mid and long term sales projections, scheduling, targets and plans.
The Marketing and Sales Manager may assist as needed in the tasting room, therefore prior experience in customer relations, retail, or winery tasting rooms is helpful. Experience using a Point of Sale (POS) system and handling cash is also helpful. Because the position of Marketing and Sales Manager is a position of trust, candidates must be at least 21 years of age, a US citizen, of good character, well-groomed, a non-smoker, be able to pass a drug test, and provide a minimum of three references. Salary is comprised of a base amount, plus commission for meeting and exceeding sales targets. Base salary starts at $22,000/year, with additional compensation potential via commissions on sales.
